Sour
Cream Raisin Pie
| 2 tablespoons cornstarch
¾ cup sugar ¼ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon cinnamon ½ teaspoon nutmeg ¼ teaspoon cloves 2 egg yolks, beaten 1 cup sour cream 1 cup raisins 2 egg whites 4 tablespoons sugar Baked pastry shell Mix together in top of double boiler the
first six ingredients, add well beaten egg yolks and mix well. Add sour
cream and raisins and cook over hot water till thick. Cool and pour into
baked pastry shell. Top with meringue made by beating 2 egg whites until
stiff, and adding 4 tablespoons sugar gradually. Brown in a 325° F.
oven, about 15 minutes.
