Sour
Cream Banana Cake
| ¼ c. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda ¾ tsp. salt 1 c. sour cream 1 c. mashed bananas Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy; add eggs and vanilla, blend thoroughly. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternating with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients, Add bananas, mix until blended. Bake in a greased and floured 15 x 10 x 2-inch pan at 350º for 40-45 minutes. Cool and frost. Frosting:
Combine all together and blend well.
