Spicy
Applesauce Cake
| ½ cup sour cream
¾ to 1 cup sugar ½ cup unsweetened thick applesauce ½ teaspoon salt 1 cup each chopped raisins and nuts 1 teaspoon cinnamon ¼ teaspoon cloves 2 cups sifted flour 1 teaspoon baking powder Mix together sour cream, sugar and applesauce.
Sift dry ingredients together and add to first mixture with raisins and
nuts. Mix and pour into a greased pan. Bake in moderate oven (350°
F.), for about an hour.
