Scalloped Carrots
 
 
Instructions2 cups cooked carrots, sliced 
3 tablespoons butter 
2½ tablespoons flour 
1 cup flour
¾ teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
½ cup bread crumbs
½ cup shredded cheese

Melt 2 tablespoons butter in saucepan, add flour and cook until mixture is golden brown. Add milk and cook until thickened. Add seasoning and cheese. Place sliced carrots in buttered baking dish, pouring cheese sauce over them. Melt the remaining tablespoon of butter in saucepan, add crumbs and stir until well blended. Sprinkle crumbs over carrots and bake in moderate oven (350° F.), 25 minutes, or until crumbs are brown.
