Savory Dried Beans
 
 
1 cup of any dried beans
2 cups water
2 tablespoons meat drippings
2 teaspoons grated onion
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon thyme
1 small bay leaf

Wash and soak beans overnight in Water. In morning bring beans to boil in same water and then cook until tender. Twenty minutes before serving, add the drippings, salt, pepper, thyme and bay leaf.
