Raisin Crumb Pie
 
 
2 cups seedless raisins
½ cup sugar
¾ cup water
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ cup butter or margarine
¾ cup sugar
½ cup milk
 Pastry

Boil together for 5 minutes the raisins, the ½ cup of sugar and the water.
Mix together the flour, baking powder, butter and the ¾ cup of sugar. Reserve half of this for topping. To the other half add the egg and milk.

Pour the raisins mixture into the unbaked pie shell. Over this pour the batter, and sprinkle reserved crumb mixture on for topping. Bake at 450° F., for 10 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350° F. and continue baking for 30 minutes.
