Peppermint

| 30 marshmallows
1 c. milk 1 scant cup whipped cream peppermint flavoring |
green food coloring
12 Hydrox cookies (w/o filling) 1/4 c. melted butter |
| Dissolve marshmallows in milk over low
heat. Stir in whipped cream. Flavor with a few drops of peppermint and
color a very light green. Let this mixture stand in refrigerator until
partially set, stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, mash cookies and add melted butter and mix well. Press into bottom of a 9-inch square pan. Pour first mixture over cookies and let stand in refrigerator until served. 9 servings |
