Pink Pear Salad
 
 
12 pear halves, fresh or canned 
8 maraschino cherries
 3 ounces cream cheese
1 tablespoon maraschino cherry liquid
Dash of salt
¼ cup chopped pecans

Chill peeled pear halves. Cut maraschino cherries into small pieces with scissors or sharp knife. Soften cheese in a bowl, add maraschino liquid, cherries and salt; blend thoroughly. Add pecans; mix well. Heap maraschino-cheese mixture in hollow of pears. Press two halves together. Tint outside of pears with maraschino cherry liquid. Serve each pear on crisp salad greens.
