Internet Chef On-Line  This site is full of monthly articles, a large recipe archive, tips and hints. Something for everyone!

HomeArts Recipe Finder  This particular link will take you to HomeArts recipe search tool. It includes a number of search criteria, including a number of ethnic categories. HomeArts is a solid site all the way around. It has links to all the best women's and lifestyle magazines as well as sections on health, gardening, family and money matters.

Family Food Category Page  Not as robust as HomeArts search tool, but not bad. In addition to being able to search by meal category (breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack), you can search by the amount of time required to fix it. Lastly, you can simply browse the categorized cookbooks. They are also willing to publish your favorite recipes, so feel free to upload.

The Internet Epicurean is a pretty good Ezine. In addition to regular articles, it contains a recipe exchange, a chef's forum, a featured seasonal menu, and some pretty good links.

Mimi's Cyber Kitchen  Mimi's site contains some good recipes,  looks like it has potential, but it is not well organized. If you are willing to do the wading, it seems to have some good information.

Morten's Collection of Recipes  Morten's is a primarily Danish site, but don't let that confuse you. The collection contains a number of danish and foreign recipes, all of which are indexed by category, ingredient and submitting person. I have often relied on this site to find recipes from my childhood, or to find good recipes for things like muffins, casseroles and the crock pot. All of the recipes are in the same basic format, and are ready for printing. You can add your own recipes or download the collection for private use free of charge.

Pillsbury Bake Off Winners  One of the nice things about the Bake Off recipes is that they are generally simple and fast to make. I have used a number of their recipes, and been pleasantly surprised by their high quality.

Recipes Online Although small, the real power of this site is its ability to recalculate the number of servings of amount of ingredients for recipes. It also contains handy weight and measure conversions and allows you to input your favorite recipes.

Rainbow Gourmet The Rainbow has 25,000 recipes, but only has a simply search tool by which you can search by ingredient or title. Still, there are a lot of recipes, and if you have the time, you can browse the archive forward or backward.

Gourmet
Cooking Light  Based on the magazine of the same name, this site features plenty of recipes, fitness and health information. For those who are unfamiliar with the magazine, Cooking Light provides excellent recipes, at least the equal of Food & Wine, Gourmet, or Bon Appetit. The only difference is their concern for health and fitness which leads them to lighten recipes when possible. However, they never go overboard, and always leave the real butter or cream when a substitution just won't do. The search tool is fairly robust, and in addition to the recipes and articles, the site includes a bulletin board for your questions and or recipe search.

Epicurious  This is my favorite food link, hands down. I have used more of the recipes from Epicurious than any other site listed here. Epicurious pulls its recipes from the archives of Gourmet and Bon Appetit, and the site also includes a wine search tool, a dictionary of cooking terms, a place to archive your own favorites, and a number of excellent links.

Fulton Street  A great place to buy seafood.

Food & Wine Although a long time subscriber of the magazine, I only recently found the web site. I haven't used it often, yet, but it does have an archive of the magazine's recipes as well as a wine guide. The "wine list" area contains a pairing search that seems interesting. It is based on the current year's wine guide and contains a number of food categories to choose from. This site is certainly worth some more attention.

American Spice  You can get great spices at this site. They have a number of unusual and fun spices.

Low Fat Cooking  Recipes from every category.

Low-Fat Living: Recipes  This link will take you directly to the recipe index of the Low-Fat Living page. The rest of the site seems to be lacking, but the recipes aren't bad. There are only a few, but it is worth a look if you are trying to reduce your fat consumption.

Meals for You  offers a number of useful attributes to the diet conscious. The site includes great meal planning features, nutritional information, automatic recipe adjustments for the number of servings and custom shopping lists. You can even add your own recipes and still use the features of the site to help you manage your meals. I highly recommend it.

Cucina Online  This site has the advantage of containing a lot of Italian recipes, but its users are at a disadvantage when trying to find them. Unfortunately, you can't really search the site, you have to, instead, wade through their listings. Fortunately, there are options to sort the recipes by title, ingredient, cookbook or course. Cucina Online also contains a good section on Italian wines and a useful glossary.

French Cuisine This site is a great help if you want to learn about any aspect of French food, or if you are looking for some good recipes. They seem to cover it all.

The archive contains recipes gathered since February 1996. In addition to recipes, the site contains  information on holiday menus, food techniques; cookbook resources; restaurant reviews; and kashruth preparation - the laws regarding kosher foods. Interesting site!
