Lamb Chops in Orange Sauce
 
 
6 lamb chops
flour
3 T shortening
2 t salt
½ t nutmeg
1 c orange juice
1 T grated orange peel
2 t vinegar
½ c raisins

Roll chops in flour. In a heavy skillet, brown both sides of chops in melted shortening. Pour off fat. Add salt, nutmeg, orange juice, orange peel and vinegar. Cover. Cook over low heat for 1 hour. Add raisins.
