Fail Mayonnaise
| 2 egg yolks
1 cup salad oil 2 tablespoons vinegar 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon salt 1 dash cayenne 1 teaspoon sugar Put these ingredients into a large mixing
bowl, but do not beat. Make a white sauce my melting 2 tablespoons butter,
adding 1/3 cup flour and when this is blended, 1 cup water. Cook this sauce
well, stirring to keep it smooth. Remove from fire and pour while hot into
the ingredients in the mixing bowl. Beat until ingredients are well blended,
cool and store. Yields a full pint of mayonnaise.
