Lemon
Treats (For Cookie Press)
| 1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar 1 egg, beaten 2 teaspoons grated lemon rind 2 tablespoons lemon juice ¼ teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon soda 2¼ cups flour Cream shortening and sugar. Add lemon juice
and rind, and beaten egg. Add flour which has been sifted with soda and
salt. Force through cookie press to form fancy shapes. Bake in Moderate
oven (375° F.) 10 to 12 minutes.
