Lasagna
| 1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. pork sausage 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1 c. onion, chopped 2 tsp. salt 1½ tsp. oregano leaves ½ tsp. basil 2 T parsley flakes 1 - 6 oz. can tomato paste 1 - 18 oz. can tomato sauce 2 c. water 1 tsp. sugar 9-12 lasagna noodles-cooked 2 eggs 16 oz. cottage cheese 8 oz. cheddar cheese medium, shredded 8 oz. mozzarella cheese, sliced Cook hamburger and pork sausage in 2 T
oil until brown. Add onion and garlic. Cook until onion is
tender (10-15 minutes). Add seasonings, tomato paste, tomato sauce, water
and sugar. Simmer, uncovered, over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Blend eggs, with cottage cheese. Preheat oven
to 350°. In a 9 x 13-inch pan, spread 1 cup sauce on bottom of
pan. Put 3 noodles, a little sauce, ½ cottage, ½ mozzarella
cheese and sprinkle with cheddar. Repeat until ingredients are used
up. Cook uncovered in 350° oven for 40-45 minutes. Let Cool for
15 minutes before serving.
