| 1½ cups flour
3 tablespoons cocoa 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup sugar ½ teaspoon salt 5 tablespoons cooking oil 1 tablespoon vinegar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup cold water Combine flour, cocoa, soda, sugar and salt
in a mixing bowl. Sift these ingredients into a greased 9x9 inch square
pan. Make 3 hole in the flour mixture. Into one pour the oil, into the
next one pour the vinegar, and into the last the vanilla. Then pour cold
water over all. Stir gently by hand with a fork until nearly smooth and
flour can’t be seen. Bake for about 30 minutes at 350° F., or until
toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center.
