Frosted
Raisin Squares
| 1 cup raisins
2 tablespoons butter 1½ cup water 2 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon ½ teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt In a small saucepan, combine raisins, butter
and water. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes. Cool. Combine dry ingredients
in a bowl. Add raisin mixture and blend well. Spread in a greased cookie
sheet or jelly roll pan with 1 inch sides. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 375°
F. When cool, frost with butter
cream frosting. Cut into squares.
