Toast
| 2 eggs, slightly beaten
½ teaspoon salt ½ cup milk 6 slices bread, cut in half diagonally ¼ cup butter or shortening Combine eggs, milk and salt. Blend well.
Heat a large skillet and melt butter. Dip pieces of bread in egg mixture,
turning to coat. Do not allow them to become soggy, though, or they are
harder to cook. Sauté in hot butter until golden brown, turning
once. Serve hot with maple syrup, powdered sugar or cinnamon and sugar.
