Corn Flake Waffles
 
 

1½  cups sifted all-purpose flour 3 tablespoons white cornmeal 2 teaspoons sugar 2 cups corn flakes, crushed fine 2 eggs, well beaten 3 teaspoons baking powder 4 tablespoons shortening 2½  cups milk Mix and sift the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add corn flakes, eggs and melted shortening, then add milk to make a thick batter. Cook according to waffle iron instructions.
