Creamed Dried Beef 2
 
2 T oil
1 T butter 
1 jar thinly sliced dried beef, cut into 1 inch strips 
2 T all purpose flour 
5 to 6 c milk 
Pepper to taste

Heat oil and butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add the dried beef and sauté about 3 minutes. Reduce heat to medium low. Add the flour and cook for about 3 minutes, stirring often to combine with the oil-butter mixture. Gradually whisk in the milk; cook until thickened, about another 5 minutes. Sprinkle with pepper. Serve over toast or biscuits. Serves 4
