Cocoa-Nut
Balls
| ½ cup shortening
¼ cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup sifted flour 2 tablespoons cocoa ½ teaspoon salt ¾ cup chopped nuts Confectioners' sugar Cream shortening and sugar. Add vanilla.
Stir in flour, cocoa and salt which have been sifted together. Mix well.
Add nuts. Shape into small balls about an inch in diameter. Place on ungreased
cookie sheet and bake in moderate oven (350° F.) about 12 minutes.
Remove from oven, cool a few minutes, then roll in confectioners' sugar.
