Chocolate Revel Bars
 
1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2½ cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups quick cooking oats

Filling
12 ounces chocolate chips
1 – 15 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons butter
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup walnuts, chopped
2 teaspoons vanilla

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. Combine flour, soda, salt and oatmeal. Stir into creamed mixture. Set aside. 

In the top of a double boiler, combine chocolate chips, condensed milk, butter, and salt. Heat until mixture is melted. Stir in nuts and vanilla. 

Spread 2/3 of oatmeal batter in greased 15x10x1 inch pan (jelly roll pan or very large cookie sheet). Cover with chocolate filling mixture and spread evenly. Dot with remaining oatmeal mixture. Spread as much as possible. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350° F. Cool and cut into squares.
