Pineapple Pie
| 2 cups pitted sour cherries
½ cup drained crushed pineapple ¾ cup flour 1 cup sugar ½ cup chopped pecans (optional) Pastry Combine cherries and pineapple. Blend flour
and sugar and mix with fruit. Add chopped nuts if desired. Pour into unbaked
pastry shell, and cover with lattice top, building up a good edge to retain
juices. Bake at 450° F., for first 10 minutes then reduce heat to 350°
F., and bake about 25 minutes longer or until done.
