Cheddar

| ¼ cup butter or margarine, softened
8 ounces shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (about 2 cups) 1¼ cups sifted allpurpose flour ¾ teaspoon paprika ¼ teaspoon dry mustard 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper Blend butter and cheese until smooth. Mix
in a blend of the flour, paprika, dry mustard, and cayenne pepper. Roll
dough into logs about 1¼ inches in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper
and chill. Cut into ¼ inch slices. Place about 1 inch apart on lightly
greased baking sheets. Bake at 400° F. about 8 minutes. Serve hot.
