Chicken
Cheese Supper
| 3 T butter or margarine
3 T all purpose flour 1¼ c. milk 2 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (about ½ c.) ½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 c. diced cooked chicken 1 c. diced cooked ham 1 - 3 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained 2 T chopped canned pimento (optional) Melt butter in saucepan; blend in flour.
Add 1¼ c. milk all at once; cook and stir till sauce thickens and
bubbles. Remove from heat and add shredded cheese; stir until melted. Stir
in Worcestershire sauce, chicken and ham, and mushrooms and pimiento. Heat
through. Serve over toast. Serves 4 or 5.
