Butterscotch
Brownies 3
| ¼ cup butter
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed 1 egg 1 cup sifted flour 1 teaspoon baking powder ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla 2/3 cup chopped nuts Cream butter and brown sugar. Beat egg
and add to mixture. Sift flour, measure and resift with baking powder and
salt. Add to butter mixture with vanilla and nuts. Turn batter into an
8-inch square buttered pan and bake in slow oven (300° F.), for 25
minutes, or until lightly browned. Cut in squares.
