I can't even remember where I found this recipe, but it is the best marinade I know of. I use it for chicken and beef.

Big John's Marinade

1¼ cups salad oil, olive oil, or mix of two
¾ cup soy sauce
2¼ teaspoons  salt
½ cup red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
¾ cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons dry mustard
1 tablespoon fresh ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1/3 cup lemon juice

Prepare this marinade at least 6 hours in advance of use and always
marinate meat for 6-8 hours or overnight. Baste during the
grilling/smoking process. Mop it on before serving.
