Casserole
| 2 c. diced beef
1 tablespoon shortening Salt and pepper 1 small onion, sliced 2 potatoes, sliced ¾ c. canned tomatoes Brown meat in melted shortening. Season with salt and pepper. Place in a casserole. Cover with onion, potatoes, and tomatoes. Cover. Bake in a moderate oven (350° F.) about 1 hour.. Uncover and bake for about 15 minutes or until extra liquid is absorbed. |
