Beef Steaks
| 2 pounds round steak, (cut ½ inch
thick)
Flour 3 tablespoons shortening 2 medium onions 2 tablespoons vinegar 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon red pepper ¾ c. catsup 1 teaspoon chili powder ¾ c. water Cut steak into suitable pieces for serving. Dredge with flour and brown on both sides in hot shortening. Shred onions. Mix all remaining ingredients together and pour over meat. Cover and simmer about 2 hours or until tender. Add water to sauce as needed. |
