Apple Oatmeal Cake
| 1 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp ground allspice 1/2 c. vegetable oil 1 c. sugar |
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. rolled oats 1 c. finely chopped apples 1/3 c. chopped walnuts |
| Sift together the soda, flour, salt and allspice. Combine oil, sugar, egg and vanilla; mix well. Add flour mixture and oats to liquid ingredients. Stire in apples and nuts. Pour into a greased and floured 8" square baking pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350o or until the cake tests done with a toothpick. |
