Apple-Cranberry
Pie
| 4 tart apples
1¼ cups cranberries ¾ cup sugar ¼ teaspoon cinnamon ¼ teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons butter or margarine Pastry Line pie pan with pastry. Pare, core and
slice apples thin. Wash and cut cranberries in halves. Place layer of apples
in bottom, add cranberries, and then remaining apples. Sprinkle with sugar,
cinnamon and salt mixed. Dot with butter or margarine. Cover with pastry
in which slits are cut to let steam escape. Dot top crust with butter and
sprinkle with sugar. Seal edges. Bake in hot oven (400-425° F.) about
45 minutes, or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
